Language Lab 2.0

In a 2009 speech, President Barack Obama stated his administration’s goal to ‘‘ensure that every child has access to a complete and competitive education from the day they are born to the day they begin a career.” Studying a foreign language, with its crucial development of cultural awareness, is an integral part of a 21st-century education in our increasingly globalized world. The U.S. is currently behind when it comes to speaking more than one language, but it is not necessarily from a lack of trying. Below is a mini-proposal for a digital game meant to aid U.S. high school students in their language acquisition.
